Between 2004 and 2015 Eduard Douša wrote several sonatinas for piano. The pieces were written for the students of his wife Eva – Little melodic sonatina for Kristynka or Vojtatina. Sonatina pour Claude (Hommage à Claude Bolling) was originally composed for harpsichord, but the piano sound does it well, too. Three-movement sonatinas are inspired by folklore, jazz, and neo-classicism. The compositions are lined up progressively. Sonatina pour Claude has also been executed in revision for accordion by Ladislav Horák, a professor at the Prague Conservatoire.
